A talk in the frame of the exhibition "La lumiére qui fait la bonheur..." by Georges Adéagbo (28 March - 25 July 2021 at KINDL - Center for Contemporary Art, Berlin).
How do you bring objects into talking? Whose story do they tell? How can we listen to them? How do they relate to the narrative of collections? And how do they change as part of a collection? And last but not least, how do objects acquire meaning and when is an object classified as worthy of collecting?
The curators of the TALKING OBJECTS LAB Mahret Ifeoma Kupka and Isabel Raabe in conversation with Azu Nwagbogu (Director African Artist Foundation, Lagos) and Clémentine Déliss (Curator, Berlin), who have jointly developed the web project homemuseum Lagos.
